When Bodum took over a small clarinet factory in Normandy in 1982, it wasn't for the fine orchestra clarinets they produced, but because of a almost unknown coffee maker called the Chambord which they also produced.
Thanks to Bodum, the French press coffee maker is one of the most popular coffeemakers in the world. The design is unchanged from the original drawings. The Chambord is still made with the same painstaking care learned from those proud craftsmen in Normandy.
